My mate Dean had got us worried about the eclipse because he explained that many cultures believe(d) that an eclipse was a momemt when mal-intentioned spirits from the "other" worlds could cross over into our dimension. Rather than take any chances we decided to guard our construction site from any such eventuality. It would be a pity, we thought, to occupy a haunted house before anyone had actually lived there. I think we were succesful. There were eerie noises and bats (really) flying around at 2 O ' Clock Local Time. But we prevented anything landing on our home-to-be (inşallah, touch wood and a quick prayer to St. Anthony of Padua etc).
